All Dressed Up and Nowhere to Go

My plan was near completion, I could taste it. Then all went to heck. There were zombies everywhere, my location was known. I, Dax Pluto, had the means to end the Tyrant's reign, the C4. I meant to sacrifice myself, run in and destroy the Tyrant before any more damage could be done. Instead, my position was given away and I had to ditch the C4 before the plan could be completed. I swear, if it is the last thing I do as a journalist, it will be to take that...that THING down.

The State of Affairs

As I was huddling in my news office today I managed to take a glimpse of the outside world. There is panic and chaos. A hulking figure nicknamed "The Tyrant" is roaming campus proper, wrecking havoc in his wake. The undead forces are growing stronger by the minute. Worst of all, there seems to be a new monster, shambling for a lack of better words, into campus. This cant be just a coincidence. There has to be something behind it. And I shall not rest until I find out what that something is. I fear for my safety, my old coworkers and friends are pounding at my doorstop, trying to get in. They are not who they used to be. I need to find a way to survive this mess... I fear I am running out of time

The Rage, It is Palpable

I set the time, I showed up, but that scientist bastard did not show for our meeting! It turns out, she was over at cooper science being a ditz leading the few survivors until she got what she deserved, death. If she would have met me at our arranged meet spot, I could have taken the information about her special weaponry and given the information to my sources, who could have mass produced it!

I now take it upon myself to find a cure for whatever this is, I already have a specimen to test it on.

If worse comes to worse, I will infect and attempt to cure myself.

Updates and a note to the one wielding bio-weapontry

Time for some updates. I have been out of commission for about 12 to 24 hours due to a civilian i was interviewing about their current plans. Instead of telling me what they were going to do, they gave me a drink infected with the common cold. Now, if it were in normal circumstances, I would have fought off the infection, but due to the stress of the Apocalypse, my body could not fight it off and I went into a cold-induced semi-coma. I woke up recently and got back in with information. First of all I will take the time to express my condolences to the leadership staff of the Ball State Horror Film Club. It seems that last night, while i was still out for the count, he was killed by the forces of the undead, not only that, but the one leading them was a creature spawned by a science team! I for one am disgusted by this. Another update is that it seems that last nights missions were a success. Because of this, our bodes will be able to fight the infection for twice as long as usual, also, because of the power, our weapons have been updated to keep these things down for five minutes longer.

As for tonight I have recieved intellegence that there is a person who was on the science team around. I have set up a meet with him at 9:00 at the satellite fields to do an expose on the company. I fear that because of my illness, the undead may be able to take me down, I will need assistance to protect me while I interview him.

We Need Supplies!

It seems like the Ball State Officials are running from the situation, the Police are leaving and in general everything is going to heck. University Dining is closing their doors at 9 tonight, but three dining officials are willing to leave us some food packages before going. I cant say more about this here, as communications may become compromised, but if you are here, contact around to see how you can help. Also the power company is threatening to shut down, this can not happen. We need people to go secure the power generators. Other than that, keep an eye out for others needing help.

Communications Reached

Tonight, long after many returned safely to their rooms, a group of dedicated brave students located an IT professional in need of assistance. His commutations computer was missing and had to be found. The group was successful in finding the computer and the missing RAM. The professional proceeded to set up a communications system. It should be operational tomorrow. Hopefully help will come our way.

Update: 3 Zombies Spotted and a guess on the source of this plague.

Tonight a group of brave citizens, Cole Heady and Drake Dishman saw a man being chased by a group of three of these zombies, they fought them off and escorted the man to safety. When they did they were informed that a group of citizens protected him as he went to several of the dormitories to establish safe areas to protect the dorms. They established human sentries  that recognize those with the scourge and created a 30 foot "safe zone" Around building enterances. Unfortunitly they were not able to talk the owners to do this by doors that are locked, as the sentries are only interested in protecting unlocked doors.. The transit system also received some sentries, so when they are stopped the sentries keep guard. Good Luck.

Also, I have been informed that two of our own may have possessed this plague from the start and are not yet showing, however the plague is driving them to infect others with touch, so be careful when you see these two people.

The mission was a success. Arms have been gathered. And the dorms have been warned. Sources say that UPD cleared weapon permits in these trying times. If you have a blaster, show your 2nd amendment and protect yourself. Now, go to bed and get some sleep, you will need it.

For the duration of this event I will be canceling my normal blogging and providing information I gather. Hopefully I will survive long enough to see us through this.

Movie Marathon goes horribly wrong

Help! Anyone HELP! At precisly 11:32 pm tonight a man stumbled into the movie marathon. He looked to be in a daze. He proceeded to yell that his sister was attacked by a crazy man by the library. He said he tried to fight him off but he too was bitten. The medic came and took him off to be patched up. Mr. Matheson came up and exclaimed that he knew what was going on. "It was zombies" he exclaimed.after asking if anyone read the Zombie Survival guide people piped up to say what me needed to do. "We Need Weapons!" one man yelled. "We need to warn others!" Another added. Mr Andrew organized the mass into a plan. "First we need to arm ourselves  he said. "Go to the construction sites and pick up rocks to arm yourselves." "After that we need to meet at the bell-tower to organize parties to go warn the dormitories." He said, "Then tomorrow we will face the zombie apocalypse."

I took it upon myself as a citizen reporter to warn the masses. Please, if anyone reads this, go and help! We cant do it without you!

I have not been able to post for a while, things got really busy. I even lost my blog on wordpress due to inactivity. I moved to this site, I like it. You guys are in for a treat. I was invited to a movie marathon hosted by the Ball State Horror Film Club. Beverly Lane, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, and Land of the Dead. So many zombie movies, this should be great. I will be posting the full review of the event when I get back.

Super 8, Super indeed

To be honest, I have been waiting to watch this movie ever since I saw the first trailer. I followed the internet hunt they set up for the viewers, and I was psyched to watch this movie. I was not disappointed. With a cast of unknowns, a brilliant era and a great plot line this movie evoked classic feelings like from ET. The story had a great feel like sandlot mixed with hardy boys with a little Cloverfield thrown in. Brilliant

Bridesmaids.....Everything went better than expected

I was not sure when I sat down to watch this one, to be honest it looked way like a chick flick. However, my concerns ended up not being that bad when the movie started. It certainly was no chick flick! With no holds barred comedy this movie was on par with other funny movies such as Wedding Crashers or one of my favorites The Hangover. The movie had a plethora of one liners that  said something about the the filmmakers confidence. I was expecting the only funny parts to be the ones shown in the trailer, but to my happy surprise they editors had so much to work with that they cut out most of the gags that were in the trailer and it was still hilarious.

I give this film a 4 out of 5, Still room to work with, but it was great, I would have paid to see it.

Pirates of the FAILabbean

Sitting in Pruis I had pretty high hopes, the last title in the Pirates of Caribbean saga ended with a pretty good cliffhanger that had me wondering how this movie would go. Would we be Deppless in this title? Would we have a new hero to follow?

Sadly all my hopes where tossed down. From the very beginning the movie was confusing and long winded, from the mass hanging to the extra characters with little to no background story. Surprise Surprise Cpt. Jack comes back and proceeds through the rest of the title in a long winded, confusing storyline with dead ends and left turns. I am glad I got to watch this for free, as it was not worth paying for.

I give Pirates 2 out of 5 for the good CGI.

New Year, New Start

Finally got back to Ball State, this summer was way to long, This summer was great, interning with the local newspaper. I really learned how to do a lot of things in journalism I didnt know before. This year should be fun, with taking even more courses in the news field. This year I think I am going to talk about the movies going on. Starting with Pirates of the Caribbean. I can't wait!
